Welcome To Carl Steven "MO" Truman's Memorial Site
Mo Truman, WV's Willie Nelson
Welcome to Mo's Memorial Site.
My name is Lisa Denise Kerr and I created this website in Memory of my dear friend, Carl Steven "MO" Truman. My heart aches that I am creating a memorial website for Mo. With this site, our Mo and all that he accomplished with his Music and his good heart will forever live on. We all lost him too soon and the Heavens received a loving angel. His music will live forever in our hearts and our wonderful memories of him will never be forgotten
I knew him best as MO. The angels came to take Mo away on June 4, 2008 to be with the Lord. He was a God loving man who was suffering from heart problems. He passed away at the young age of 58. He was best known as "West Virginian's Willie Nelson"
This site was created to bring comfort to Mo's family and friends who all loved him dearly. I also wanted to keep Mo's music and memory alive forever. As long as his family, friends and fans continue to visit this site, he will forever be in our hearts and minds. My husband and I are forever grateful to have had the opportunity to have been friends with Mo. He will always be in our hearts and never forgotten. If you want to share any of your stories or photos, please email me at kerrations@yahoo.com
Mo was the father of Steven Michael Truman and Lindsay Davison. His son in law's name is Jack and he has five grandchildren. He was born in Widen, WV. Mo was a retired Coal Miner, an Army veteran, graduated in 1967 of Clay county High School. He was a self-employeed Musician. He was a God loving man who was a member of the Widen Baptist Church.
I met Mo in 1997 at Terrace Park East where we were both managers. We became the best of friends. He was always a comfort when times were tough there. He had a great knack for listening and encouraging you to go on. No one was ever a stranger to Mo.
Jane Brown and I worked with Mo to market his first CD, titled, "MO Truman, Like I've Never Loved Before." We were so proud of his hard work on producing this CD. He was always so thankful to Jane and I. We were grateful to be able to watch him persue his lifelong dream of becoming a professional singer and performer. Mo wrote many songs and it was fun going through his songs with him that he had written. During 2002 WV lost a lot of coal miners and he had the most awesome song about being a coal miner. I don't think he ever finished it to produce it onto a cd. I wish he had, I would love to hear him sing it again. He is now in the heavens with all of those coal miners singing his tunes to all of the angels.
